Social Media affects every company, including Dunkin Donuts. If you haven't heard through the multiple social media platforms Dunkin Donuts uses, the new Dark Roast Coffee has hit the shelves and there are countless reviews on its taste and quality improvement! Being raised by the owner of a Dunkin Donuts, I understand the minds of the consumers more than the average individual, and I knew that this new bold flavor would be a hit!

Here are some facts about the new Dark Roast coffee that you may not know:

1. The Dark Roast features the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal.
2. It is made with at least 30% coffee beans sourced from RAC farms.
3. It holds the richest taste that Dunkin Donuts has every created.

National Coffee Day is a coffee lovers favorite day of the year and Dunkin Donuts knows just how to celebrate to make their consumers happy! They began their promotional campaign two weeks in advance through the use of Facebook and Twitter. All day on September 29th, Dunkin Donuts gave their customers a taste of their new recipe in the form of a FREE medium Dark Roast coffee! Customers could choose either hot or cold and were thrilled by the rich bold taste that filled their cups and ultimately filled their day with joy!

The "DDance for Dark Roast" Contest

Additional to their free coffee promotion, there is a social media contest challenging the public to share their boldest, smoothest dance moves. Continuing through October 12th, people can participate in the  DDanceForDarkRoast contest! Fans can then download the song “Clap Your Hands” by Richey Lam, record themselves dancing to the song and post their video to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #DDanceForDarkRoast. Ten winners will receive free Dark Roast Coffee for a year, and one grand prize winner will receive $5,000. (www.DunkinDonuts.com)
